Test weights
Safety is paramount. If your company has access to a crane or lifting equipment, it should be tested with some regularity. We rent out calibrated test weights, ranging in weight from 10 kilograms to 5000 kilograms. Starting at 200 kilograms, our test weights are modular and can be safely hoisted. So very suitable, even after a repair, to test cranes, lifting and hoisting installations.
Test weights of Gebr Vermeer are certified according to the ISO 17025 standard, within class M1. At our location in Tilburg we can test your spreaders, lifting beams, etc. up to 60 tons. One advantage is that we have the test weights readily available, which saves on costs. If desired, we can make a no-obligation job assessment and draw up a lifting and safety plan.
Conduct a ramp test within the shipping industry with our test weights
Within the shipping industry, our calibration weights are popular for performing a heeling test. A skipper then knows quickly and efficiently whether the stability of the ship is in order. Does your company have a weighbridge? Then it can't hurt to periodically calibrate it with our test weights. After all, your customer wants to know for sure.
Gebr. Vermeer, also for transport and handling of test weights
Let us also take care of the transport of the test weights. Gebr. Vermeer has an up-to-date fleet at its disposal. This varies from a combo, van or box truck with tail lift to tractors with trailers or semi-low loaders.
For handling the test weights on site, we can also assist. For this we have at our disposal (electric) forklifts, rough-terrain forklifts and truck-mounted cranes. If it concerns a small space, such as a basement or an elevator, we have auxiliary equipment that we can use to get test weights in place. These include electric stair runners, trolleys, electric pump trucks and rolling carts. Our people (drivers) have the following certificates: VCA, forklift, aerial work platform and overhead crane certificate and can assist your technical department with handling the test weights on site.
